About me, Sarah, aka The Foodie Fit Mom
I provide nutrition and fitness education and coaching for the busy mom to enhance her health and happiness without sacrificing time with the kids. My goal is to share my knowledge with like-minded moms like you, who want to improve their overall well-being and look and feel better inside and out. I have personally instituted many of the culinary changes and lifestyle modifications I will be teaching you. These simple changes have made huge impacts on my health and happiness. My goal is to do the same for each and every one of you. I want to prevent chronic disease and promote longevity, while also helping you to make the most of Mommyhood. I have no bigger cheerleader than my very own mom. I aspire to have the same inspirational and foundational affect for my children. I hope this program will help you to do the same for yours.
I am a mother of three. I married my high school sweet heart and best friend, who has been a great supporter throughout this conquest. We have 2 boys, 10 and 8 years old and a 5 year old daughter who keep us on our toes! When not at work, we spend most of our time coaching and/or cheering on our children and their sports teams. Aside from that, time is spent sweating it out in our home gym or creating new recipes and sharing them with our family and friends. As often as life will allow, we embrace the chance to cultivate new memories and experiences with our kids, traveling and exploring the great outdoors!
My educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Education in Sport and Exercise Science. During my undergraduate years, I attained a STNA certification and also worked as a wellness technician at the university, calculating baseline fitness levels and formulating workout plans for staff and students. In addition, I completed field experience hours with local orthopedic surgeons and the physical therapy department. Thereafter, I earned my Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies. I currently have 15 years experience as a physician assistant in emergency medicine. Throughout these years, I have continued to learn via my continuing medical education. Most recently, I have completed a Food as Medicine course and am now a certified Functional Nutrition Informed Professional.
Now, it is time to put it all together. I’d like to teach you how to heighten your health, fast track your fitness, and brighten that smile! To you and yours!
